Sotheby's Spring auction boasts US$10m wine auction

A record-breaking wine auction of 11,000 bottles conservatively estimated to be worth US$10 million will be held from Saturday, at the annual Sotheby's Spring auction in Hong Kong.

In the art department, painter Zhang Xioagang's triptych entitled ' Forever Lasting Love' is expected to fetch at least US$3.8 million.

The painting is part of the Ullens Collection from Belgium, offering more than 100 masterpieces from the major contemporary Chinese arts scene.

Also, a Qing Dynasty vase, featuring gold pheasants, which will likely go for more than US$23 million.

The very rare one-off piece is from the Imperial Palace.
