World’s tallest teen at 6ft 10

TOWERING head and shoulders above her own parents Malee Duangdee, at 6ft 10in is one of the world’s tallest teenagers. Weighing 20.5 stone the 19-year-old from eastern Thailand has suffered painful school memories of bullies and a lifetime of loneliness. “I used to feel like a freak, school children used to bully me and call me names,” she said. “But since leaving school I’ve tried to feel more comfortable with who I am. I’ve got used to life on my own, but it’s hard.”

U2 breaks touring world record

U2’s current worldwide 360° tour has become the highest grossing in history, beating the record previously set by The Rolling Stones between 2005-2007.
The Irish rockers passed the $558 million (£341m) world record following their concert in Sao Paolo, Brazil, last night (10 April). The tour kicked off in July 2009 in Barcelona and still has more than 20 gigs to go.
More than seven million tickets have been sold to date for 110 shows. On average U2’s 360° Tour packs out 63,000 people each show, taking $6.4 million (£3.9 million) according to Billboard Boxscore.

GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS Unveils Royal Wedding Records

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s April 29th wedding will undoubtedly break the hearts of young ladies who once dreamed of becoming his princess, but will it break a Guinness World Records title? Below is a list of Guinness World Records the couple could be on course to beat when they say, “I do.”

The largest TV audience for a wedding occurred on July 29, 1981 during the marriage of HRH Prince Charles to Lady Diana Spencer. It was watched by an estimated 750 million people in 74 countries.

The most expensive slice of wedding cake was from a piece of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor's 1937 wedding cake, which sold at Sotheby's, New York on February 27, 1998 for $29,900.

Oldest Female To Complete A Marathon

Guinness World Records congratulates marathoner, Gladys Burril (USA) for her recent record recognition as the ‘Oldest Female to Complete a Marathon’ aged 92 years, 1Burrill completed the 26.2 mile Honolulu Marathon race in 9 hours 53 minutes and 16 seconds, on December 12th, 2010.

Formerly a multi-engine pilot, mountain climber, desert hiker and snowshoer, Burrill began her marathoning in Honolulu at age 86. She successfully fast-walked her first four Honolulu Marathons to completion but failed at ages 90 and 91 to finish. 

Her training consists of a weekly routine in which she walks 40-50 miles, but she attributes her success to positive thinking. Nicknamed "the Glady-ator" she reflects on her remarkable endurance by stating that "
