Yoyo Mung

HONG KONG: Hong Kong actress Yoyo Mung revealed Saturday that her boyfriend of six years, actor Ekin Cheng, had proposed to her just before her birthday, which fell on August 3, reported Hong Kong media.

"I was more shocked than delighted," said Mung happily of Cheng's proposal, but she declined to go into detail.

"It is enough that we remember what exactly happened (when Cheng proposed). We'll tell everyone a few days after we get married."

Speaking to Hong Kong reporters during the commencement ceremony for her new drama, Mung added that their wedding
will be a "simple affair" but said they have not yet decided exactly when they will get hitched.

Mung and Cheng are the latest Hong Kong celebrities to announce they are getting married recently.

Earlier this month, actress Angela Tong and her actor boyfriend Chin Kar Lok announced they would wed this year. 

Last week, Hong Kong actress Sharla Cheung (Zhang Min), who is best known for playing the female lead in numerous Stephen Chow comedies like "Fight Back to School" and "Hail the Judge", also announced that she will wed her former manager.
