Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey

SEOUL: A representative of Korean singer Psy, the man behind the hit song "Gangnam Style", revealed Tuesday that the singer has signed with record label Island Records, reported Korean media.
Island Records, which manages superstars like Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey, will manage all of Psy's international promotional activities.

However, Psy's activities in Korea will continue to be handled by YG Entertainment.

The representative added that Psy will be attending the MTV Video Music Awards in the US on Thursday.

Once a
B-lister in Korea, Psy has shot to international fame on the back of his ultra-popular "Gangnam Style" music video, which went viral on YouTube.

The music video has been viewed 98.4 million times since it was uploaded in July.

This news has sparked renewed speculation that Bieber may well collaborate with his new label mate and do a US version of "Gangnam Style".
