The perfect man

SINGAPORE: With his toothy grin, 1.82-metre frame, squeaky-clean image and great sense of humour, Korean singer-actor-host Lee Seung Gi is known to many as "the perfect man."

But does the multi-talented entertainer think so too?

The 25-year-old, who was in Singapore for his very first fan meeting, gave himself a score of 85 out of 100 on the perfect man scale and is quite confident of holding that title.

"I actually rate myself higher in my mind" he said at the news conference last Friday, "but for the sake of manners, I'm rating myself 85!" quipped Lee amid laughter from
fans and the local media alike.

While he works on the humility department, his humour and charm definitely don't need much work.

"I think my appeal (to fans) is my smile," said Lee, flashing his charming asset that threw fans into a state of frenzy, before hiding his face in mock shame.

Among the hundreds of fans who thronged the Marina Square shopping mall to catch a glimpse of the Korean heartthrob, were a fair number of foreign fans who flew in "just for Lee Seung Gi."

25-year-old Sarah revealed that she was "more than willing" to spend more than $1000 on her flight from Hong Kong, accommodation and tickets just to attend Lee's fan meet.

"Four of us from Hong Kong Airen (Lee's fans) fan club flew here just for Lee Seung Gi!" said Sarah who's been a fan since 2007, when Lee was co-hosting the Korean variety program "1 Night, 2 Days".

The show also worked its magic on local fan Woo Mei Yi.

"His good boy image, down-to-earth personality and sincere smile really attracted me!

"He (Lee) is the perfect man!" gushed Woo.
