Kelly Lin reveals pregnancy, denies recent nuptials was shotgun wedding

 Taiwan actress Kelly Lin revealed Thursday during a promotional event that she is pregnant, but denied that she was already with child when she married American-Chinese businessman Chris Young late last month, reported Hong Kong media.

"No, I only found out after I got married!" Lin said of her pregnancy. 

"We did plan to have children but didn't particularly try for a child. Maybe it is easier to get pregnant when there is no stress."

Lin said her husband was "very happy" and
"more emotional than I was" when he heard the news.

The 37-year-old actress refused to divulge how far along she is in her pregnancy, claiming that it was taboo to reveal that information before the first trimester is over, but said she is due at the end of the year.

Lin said she still does not know her unborn child's gender.

She expressed that she didn't mind whether her baby is a boy or a girl, though her husband "would like to have a loving daughter".

The couple plans to have two children before calling it a day.

Lin said she plans to continue working for the time being in spite of her pregnancy.

"After all, I'll need to make enough money to support the baby!" said the actress with a chuckle.
