Top SingTel Grid Girl crowned

SINGAPORE: Ashvin Sandhu was crowned the top SingTel Grid Girl on Sunday, during the final promotional roadshow for the 2012 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix, held at Big Splash.
The 21-year-old, an avid F1 racing fan who had watched almost every race over the past few years, beat out seven other candidates to take the title.

Emily Chia and Esther Leong took second and third place respectively.

The trio will get the chance to flag off the 2012 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix.

This year's
SingTel Grid Girls competition is the first since the competition's inception in 2008, where the winners were decided solely through public voting, via SMS and over its Facebook page.

Apart from the crowning of the top three SingTel Grid Girls, the roadshow also saw the unveiling of the new SingTel Singapore Grand Prix trophy design which symbolizes Speed, Connection & Unity.
