Petrol Government increases, CNG, Electricity Rates.The government has once again raised the prices of petroleum products, natural gas (CNG) and electricity, Geo News reported Wednesday.

According to the notice issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority, the price of oil has been raised by Rs2.75 Rs97.66 per liter while diesel rate has remained unchanged at Rs103.46 a liter.

The rate of light diesel has been increased by Rs3.08 per liter, kerosene oil by Rs4.38 Rs96.40 a liter and the price of Rs126.87 HOBC raised by Rs8.67 a liter.

The new rates apply from 12:00 am, March 1.

OGRA had estimated an upward trend in international Prices of POL, as it Had increased in February, while the rupee was devalued against the dollar in the same period.

Meanwhile, the rate of CNG has ratcheted By Rs1.77 a kilogram.

Electricity rates have Also increased By 39 Percent in The Fuel Adjustment for The Month August 2011.

The increase of Rs3.39 per unit has been approved And will Be Adjusted During The Next Billing Cycle and Shall not apply to the KESC.
