Follow parliament resolution to control militancy, says Nawaz

Pakistan Muslim League-N chief Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said that no foreign power will be allowed to operate in Pakistan, according to DawnNews.
Speaking at a press conference in Raiwind after meeting with the US ambassador, he said that militancy can be controlled by following the parliament’s resolution. He said
that his party raised all those questions that were the voice of nation.
Sharif stated that on this vital issue his party avoided point scoring and said that resolution presented by the government was weak in the combined session of the parliament.
He said that their party included the point of stopping the Nato supply line if US drone attacks were not stopped. Also he wanted that protests against the attacks should continue.
In regards to the Pak-US relation, he was of the view that they cannot be one-sided.
“The Americans should understand that Pakistan will not compromise on its sovereignty. The Pakistani government should stop taking directives from the US,” he added.
The party chief said that the security agencies should work under the constitution and the parliament.
He said that after 9/11, there was no militant attack recorded in the United States; however, more than 35000 people had died in Pakistan in various attacks.
