Kenny Bee’s family feud heats up, daughter defends stepmother Fan Jiang

Tinka Chung, Hong Kong singer Kenny Bee's daughter with ex-wife Hong Kong actress-socialite Teresa Cheung, has spoken out to defend her stepmother Fan Jiang, who was involved in a scuffle with Cheung's younger sister Cheung Xiao Wan recently, reported Hong Kong media.

On Sunday, Fan exchanged words with the younger Cheung, who lived in the same apartment complex, at the lobby of their residence and ended up smashing Cheung's cell phone on the floor, after she claimed that Fan had stolen someone else’s husband and even accused her of hitting her stepdaughter Tinka Chung.

Fan was eventually arrested by police for destroying Cheung's cell phone and is currently out on bail while Cheung's older sister was reported to have
returned to Hong Kong from overseas to see her daughter and support her sister.

However, Kenny Bee's daughter Tinka Chung told reporters Tuesday that Fan had never hit her and that she lead a very happy life at home.

Chung also posted on her Facebook page that she had not seen her birth mother for over seven years now.

"I read in the newspapers that my mother rushed back to Hong Kong to protect me, but I am already 16 and I feel that I don't need her protection.

"I haven't seen my mother for at least seven years, why would she suddenly come back for me?" said Chung before going on to thank Fan for taking care of her.

Kenny Bee's son threatens Cheung Xiao Wan

Fan's 21-year-old stepson, Tinka Chung’s older brother who is currently studying in the US, had repeatedly spoken out against his aunt Cheung Xiao Wan on his Facebook page, once even threatening to cut family ties with Cheung if she pressed charges against Fan.

"If she (Cheung) does not drop all charges against Fan, I will make her life difficult. I don’t care if I offend anyone," said Chung's older brother in his latest tirade against his aunt on Facebook.

Kenny Bee declined to comment on his son's outbursts and his daughter's recent Facebook posts and only said that that "they (his two oldest children) have their own views and know the difference between right and wrong".

Fan, who had remained silent since her arrest, finally updated her micro-blog on Tuesday.

"When you truly fall in love with someone, everything is so worth it, including the pain that cannot be avoided," said Fan in her update.

Kenny Bee married Teresa Cheung in 1987. Tinka Chung and her brother were born from this union.

Cheung split from her husband in 1999 amidst allegations that she had been unfaithful.

Kenny Bee now lives in Hong Kong with long time partner Fan, together with the two young daughters he had with her and Tinka Chung while her brother studies in the US.
