GE: PM Lee announces PAP team for Ang Mo Kio GRC

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has announced the line-up for his team contesting in Ang Mo Kio Group Representation Constituency (GRC) for the upcoming General Election.

They include Mr Yeo Guat Kwang, Mr Inderjit Singh, Mr Seng Han Thong and new PAP candidates Ang Hin Kee and Dr Intan Azura Mokhtar.

Mr Lee announced this at a community event in Jalan Kayu on Sunday.

Incumbent MP for the constituency, Wee Siew Kim, also said he will not contest in the next General Election.

Taking over him will be Dr
Intan.

Mr Lee said: "Mr Wee has been a very good MP for two terms. He has established himself as an MP who cares for his residents, can solve problems and get things done for them. 

"Mr Wee has also been a valuable member of my GRC team. He was Town Council Chairman for a term and even after stepping down as Town Council Chairman, he has helped to do many GRC projects."

Mr Wee said: "Dr Intan will be a breath of fresh air, bringing with her different and innovative ideas. She will provide the leadership to make further progress and changes. 

"She has already been serving Jalan Kayu for the past three months. Many of the residents and grassroots leaders have interacted with her. I am sure she has touched many with her sincere and humble personality."
