NBC's pilot turned special pulls the night's second best demo performance among scripted programming, while "Grimm" rises double digits to win Friday

After ABC topping the night since the start of the season, NBC topped Friday with adults 18-49 thanks to boosted episodes of Grimm and Dateline and the premiere of Mockingbird Lane.
The pilot of the network's Munsters reboot, repurposed as a Halloween special, brought in a solid 1.5 rating with adults 18-49 at 8 p.m. It led into a new episode of Grimm (up 27 percent to 1.9 adults rating), stealing the night's demo crown from regular victor Shark Tank. Dateline (1.5 adults rating) also rose 15 percent, giving the network an average 1.6 adults rating for
the night and 5.3 million viewers.

Slipping just 10 percent from last week's season high, Shark Tank posted a 1.8 rating with adults 18-49 on ABC. Special All Access: Nashville and a steady 20/20 both earned a 1.4 rating in the demo. ABC averaged a 1.5 adults rating for the night and 6 million viewers.
With an average 1.3 adults rating and a dominant 9.4 million viewers for the night, CBS started Friday with an encore of NCIS. A boosted CSI: NY (up 17 percent to a 1.4 adults rating) followed, with Blue Bloods (up eight percent to a 1.4 adults rating) closing the night.

Kitchen Nightmares saw a sharp drop from last year's September opener, down seven tenths of a point for a 0.9 rating with adults 18-49. Fringe, also down 10 percent, posted a 0.9 with adults. The network had a 0.9 adults rating for the night and 2.7 million viewers.
America’s Next Top Model was down a tenth of a point on The CW, earning a 0.4 rating with 18-49-ers, while Nikita dropped to a 0.2 in the demo after last week's 0.3 premiere. The network averaged a 0.3 rating with adults 18-49 and 966,000 viewers.
